misMEDIA Social Media Manager- Contract/Freelancer
Job Type: Monthly retainer with 6-month contract to start
misMEDIA Communications is looking for a driven, dependable, dedicated and creative individual to manage the social media accounts as part of our growing, woman-owned business. We are a boutique agency, run by two highly experienced women with long careers in public relations, TV hosting & production, and social media management. We are looking for someone as passionate about communicating as we are and who wants to grow and laugh with us, as we create fun, interesting, and sometimes mega-viral content!
The ideal Social Media Manager will oversee strategic and organic social media programs to ensure growth and engagement. You possess a strong attention to detail and have hands-on experience managing social media platforms including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. LinkedIn, TikTok and out of the box ideas are also a plus! You also don’t take yourself too seriously, love working from home, and are able to juggle emails, texts and what’s apps like a BOSS.
Current clients include a major South Florida Healthcare system and an international non-profit that saves children from abuse.

What You’ll Do:
- Execute Social Media strategies for misMedia accounts
- Traffic content for use on social media platforms using Monday.com, Google Drive and Sprout
- Provide monthly content ideation (trends, observances, etc.)
- Content planning support and development of monthly content calendars monthly
- Manage day-to-day content publishing and scheduling ensuring that content across platforms goes live according to schedule
- Communicate with client regularly and oversee Community Manager
- Weekly internal calls to review content
- Attend planning and reporting meetings with team
- Share monthly analytics reports for organic results
- Capture content and assist with FB Lives as needed (back up support)
- Work with an amazing team who values you and your ideas, and wants to make a meaningful and impactful difference in the social media world
Experience/Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience with Social Media program management with a proven track record
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, PR, marketing, communications, or related field
- Strong critical thinker who is solution oriented
- Proficient using third-party publishing and analytic programs, such as Sprout Social
- Proficiency with MS office
- Strong data analysis skills (Google Analytics is a must)
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and perform well under pressure
- Excellent time management skills
- South Florida candidates preferred, but not required
